∅Axiom's Kit Buying Guide
Hi you’re early. We are in the process of expanding this page.
Stay tuned for updates.
∅ Axiom receives a lot of questions about the various bits of kit that it wears, so we have put together a brief kit guide.
A full Kit Buying Guide is in the works, with full reviews and recommendations.
For now we hope this will point you in the right direction to get started.
The Faceplate.
∅Axiom wears two different helmets at various times. The first is a faceplate more than a full helmet. This is a common base that is perfect for customisation and personalisation. Many Hive Drones wear these including ∅S1G.
These faceplates are available directly from The Empty Hive shop at our events like Hex Northern in Leeds and Sheffield (take a look at our events page for the next dates & ticket links).
We hope to add them to our web shop later in the year.
You can also find these faceplates across the internet, but buyer beware – we have found that their prices are regularly marked up quite a lot on more common storefronts like Etsy & Amazon.
The Full Helmet.
∅ Axiom’s second helmet is one of the more iconic designs that appears in The Empty Hive. This helmet is a stylised cosplay helmet inspired by the pilot plugsuits from the rebuilds of Neon Genesis Evangelion, recoloured in complete black.
This can be a tricky one to find outside of Asia, and the prices online often reflect that. Etsy & ebay consistently have one or two resellers offering it, but not always in the full range of colours.
The Latex:
∅ Axiom’s usual outfit (Drone skin) is a combination of a number of latex pieces. A catsuit, corset, hood and gloves create a full-encased ensemble.
As sheet latex suppliers offer consistent colours to designers, it is possible to create a combination outfit in a matching colour scheme with pieces from multiple makers.
The Catsuit (displayed):

The Corset:

The Gloves (not pictured):
Lady Lucie – Classic Latex Gloves
The Hood (not pictured):
Latex Nemesis – Basic Hood
Not every drone wears latex, but it is one of the more fundamental and consistent styles.
A Second Catsuit:
What can it say? A drone loves it’s rubber.
