A drone with it’s face obscured truly understands its place. A faceplate completes the look for any drone, allowing it to sink into dronespace, and letting those around know exactly what it is.

Every mask from The Empty Hive includes an Empty Hive chin tag, perfect for representing the Hive. Our very own ∅-S1G can even create a custom chin tag for you that shows off your Drone ID number (coming soon).

 

Mask Types

Identity is important. We don’t want price to be a motivator when you are discovering your Drone personality, so all of our faceplates are priced equally. We provide a variety of designs for you to choose from.

 

F-Type Faceplates

By far the most popular base mask is the F-Type faceplate. They are incredibly versatile and customisable allowing you to tailor and explore your Drone identity. Characterised by smooth elegant lines and a dual stage lens, the F-Type is a popular foundation for good reason.

F-Type – Standard

The foundation design includes a Black, White or Red mandible, a dual stage lens, and karbiners on the jaw.

F-Type – “Bunny Ear”

One of the most popular editions to any Drone helmet is antenna or fins. The block fins give the impression of ears (like a puppy, bunny, or cat).
This design has a Black mandible, a dual stage lens, two “bunny ear” fins on the top of the lens, and a matched pair of clip tags on each ear.

F-Type – Ring Light

A dramatic addition to any helmet is illumination. The ring light design incorporates a superbright illuminated “eye” behind the lens creating a spectacular effect. The light can be easily switched on or off inside the chin. The ring light will partially obscure vision out of the lens.
This design has a Black mandible, a dual stage lens, a single colour ring light in White, Blue, Red, or Purple, and a matched pair of clip tags on each ear.

 

M-Type Faceplates

A more angular and technical design, the M-Type faceplate is modular and can be worn in two ways. The lower mask section can be worn on it’s own, giving the look of a respirator. With the addition of the single stage lens it becomes a full faceplate. The flat top of the lens means it can be worn with other helmets (such as MICH or FAST). They have a great versatility and can be customised to suit your Drone identity. The M-Type is characterised by more mecha and militaristic lines and a single stage lens.

M-Type – Standard

The foundation design includes a dual-tone Black & Silver mandible and a separate single stage lens.

Health and Safety

All of our drone faceplates are a fashion accessory only. They are not designed to be protective and should not be used as PPE for any activity. They do not function as respirators or gas masks and the lenses are not rated for any level of ballistic eye protection. Do not wear these for airsoft or paintball.

 

Postage and Packaging
All items in the Empty Hive store are shipped discreetly in unlabelled boxes.
Note: Helmets with lighting effects will ship without batteries due to shipping restrictions. For batteries, visit us at an event, or use any A23 12V battery (A23 MN21 23AF 23AE V23GA GP23A L1028)

Origin

These masks are imported, and are available from other sources, however often come with high markups, or international shipping. We offer these directly to the UK and at low margins to help drones get started on their journey without spending all the money (or at least keeping some for latex)
